To better understand this amazing group of friends called the snack pack, I need to first introduce them....

It all started 2 years ago in English 108. That's when I first met Alexandria. English 108 was the class that changed my life I ended up changing my major form nursing to English Education because of the teacher I had. This was by far the hardest class I had taken since I started college. One day outside of class we were all talking about how we had gotten our first papers back and we were all disappointed in the grades we got. This teacher graded so harshly that we all realized that we were going to have to push ourselves to do better. I'll never forget what Alex said because I remember

thinking yes that is how I want to be. Alex had said that she was determined to get an A in this class. College truly is the place where you meet someone one day and then the next be completely fine with talking to them about life. After that day we would all gather outside the classroom about 15 minutes till class and just bitch about anything. Since that semester Alex and I have had 6 classes together, at least 1 class each semester. I honestly have no idea how I would have been able to get through some of my classes without her! Alex has become one of my best friends in the English department. With us having the same academic advisor we are able to ask each other literally anything about any class and we give each other advice on what to do. Alex has definitely become my person in the English department. She is always there when I need to have faith again.

Next in the snack pack is Britne. Britne and I first met in English 220, but we had English 301 together at the same time as well. In our English 220 class we were put into the same lit group and basically the rest is history, because from then on out we have been great friends. Britne is one of the most talented people I have met. She takes amazing pictures as a hobby and I am always impressed with her ability to be able to whip out a paper on any subject. In our English 220 group we bonded on how much I hated always getting a 7 on my papers I would hand in and how I basically hated every story we read in that class. From then on out me and Britne have had 6 classes together. Britne is one of those friends that you can't help but be happy around. She is there for her friends and always happy to tell them like it is, even if they don't want to hear it. She has done that for me plenty of times. One of my favorite memories with Britne is from finals week fall 2016. We were all done with our English 220 final and went back to my dorm room to play card against humanity. I had never played before so they were having fun teaching me. It was a fun time and we have had plenty of other fun times since. It's a must this semester to meet up in the library and visit with each other while we attempt to get homework done. I am a world class procrastinator so I don't really get much homework done. But it is one of my favorite parts of my Tuesday and Thursdays now.

Oh Tiffany, where do I even begin with Tiffany. I cannot imagine my life without her in it now. She has become one of the most truthful people I have ever met! She tells it like it is and is not afraid to hurt your feelings if she needs to. When Tiffany and I first met we were taking a technical

communications class. Her and I would show up outside the door on Monday and Wednesday's early and we would hang out outside the classroom and do the reading or homework we were supposed to for class then. With Tiffany's crazy work schedule the only classes we had together after technical communications had to be on a Tuesday or Thursday. So we have only had 2 classes together but that was all I needed. The friendship we have is great, I can be myself around Tiffany and we can talk about literally anything. This semester we have been hanging out every Tuesday and Thursday in the library. With the whole snack pack together on Tuesdays and Thursdays it feels like a party every time.

Mason is the only guy in our group of girls but, Mason is hilarious and fits into the group. When Mason and I first met we were taking English 220. He wasn't in my group in that class. The one thing I remember most about Mason in that class was that for one of the papers he wrote about a cat. We read a story about a family and the only person who survived the car crash was the damn cat and somehow Mason could write a great paper about it and still manage to get an A on it. I will never understand it. But since then Mason and I have had 2 other classes together and they were both in the same semester. One of my favorite things now is the annual trips to McDonalds every Wednesday with Mason and Kate before we go to our Adolescent Lit class. We get so much grief about going because we always have food in class. But it is the only thing that keeps us going for our night class. Now we just hang out in the library on Tuesdays and Thursdays as a group. Mason makes the group whole. We really enjoy his random comments and inputs.

I will never forget when me and Mackenzie met because we were in technical communications and we sat next to each other. We had yet to talk to each other except when we started working on the IFixit activity. We each had to submit an item we wanted to fix and then we had to see if it was going to get approved by the IFixit people. When we got all of the answers back we had to join groups and become groups of 3. While we were waiting for the answers to come back we had got to talking and Mackenzie and I agreed to be in a group together. One of the guys who sat behind Mackenzie and I had asked to join our group as well. We said yes as long as he would put in as much effort as we did. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, Mackenzie and I ended up doing the majority of the work and we were also in the same group for our final project in technical communications. After that semester Mackenzie and I have had 4 classes together. If it wasn't for Mackenzie I probably wouldn't have made it through my gender and lit theory class. She was always reminding me to read and make sure to get my homework and essay's done. It's fun to have friends who are older than you and have different life stories and adventures to talk about. You get to see a different side of them and get to know them on a different level than you would with someone of your own age. The funniest thing about Mackenzie is that no matter what subject we are talking about she can always tie it back to Hitler. She has a slight obsession with him, we live with it and joke around with her about it. I'm thankful to have a friend like her because she keeps all of us grounded and makes us accountable for things. Without even knowing it probably. Or maybe that's just me that she does that for.

Lastly there is Kate, Oh goodness do I love Kate. She is going to be my future roommate when we move to Colorado or Washington. Kate has become my

other half. We are like the same person only she doesn't procrastinate like I do. Kate was also in my English 220 group and ever since that class, we were fast friends. Kate and I have had 3 classes together since then and in every one of them I have always depended on her to force me to study for tests and to write assignments. She is honestly the sole reason I passed linguistics because without her to tell me to study and to study with me I would have never done it. I am still in awe of how much me and Kate have in common and how much we are still learning about each other. In our adolescent lit class Kate has learned that I do not watch movies and TV shows very much because I like to stick to the TV shows that I know and love already. She has a list of shows for me to start watching now. I cannot wait to see how we are going to be when we move in together, because getting to live with someone who you consider to be one of your best friends is pretty amazing. I'm excited to see how our London trip is going to be. It is going to be fun to be able to experience this with her and Alex. I also really enjoy our every Wednesday trips to McDonalds with mason. It is the best think about our Wednesday class. I hate having night classes but McDonalds makes it more bearable.

And that is my amazing group of friends that i call my snack pack. I love these people and am thankful to have a group of friends that are going through the same classes I am and understand the struggles I have in them. I cannot wait to see where we will all be 5 years and to see everything we have accomplished after we all graduate.
